Job Description:

​

The successful candidate for the Insurance Agency Customer Service Representative position will provide varied insurance sales and service support to agents in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

​

Tasks will routinely include, but not be limited to:

  • Learning and working in AMS, an online-based agency management system

  • Clerical work such as answering phones, setting appointments, filing, etc

  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel

  • Proposal preparation

  • Taking customer requests for policy changes and amendments

  • Processing of policy changes and amendments

  • Communicating with insurance carrier partners for direction on problem resolution

  • Quoting of new and renewal insurance policies

  • Receiving claim notifications from clients

  • Filing claims with carriers

  • General support as needed by agent/agency

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Be trained by a team of parent agency staff with industry experience averaging 15+ yrs

  • Have prior insurance experience (preferred but not required)

  • Obtain a Property and Casualty License within 6 months

  • Have the ability to self-manage

  • Have the ability to prioritize

  • Have the ability to multitask

  • Have good problem-solving skills
